Centrally Located for Slope and Lifts
The main piste and lift is only a 3 minutes level walk from the Chalet Père Marie, so easy access to and from the ski area is a real benefit for your ski holiday les Arcs. Cars or mini buses can be parked directly outside the front of the chalet for unloading and, when available, our staff will help you to take your bags and skis to your rooms. There are two parking spaces at the chalet and a public car park close by.
Lovely Old Village
Le Prè is simply a stunningly beautiful village. There are no concrete high rise buildings or indeed modern style buildings of any sort. The village is, as yet, completely unspoilt and consists of old farm houses and barns in excellent, well cared for condition. Our chalet, one of the closest to the slopes, does not let the side down! There are two excellent bars and a Savoyard restaurant, but if you want night clubs or discos, it’s not for you.
Fully Catered Chalet
As with all our chalets, Père Marie is fully catered. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner with unlimited red and white wine is included on 6 days. The staff day off is on the seventh day, but breakfast and afternoon tea is still provided. This gives you the opportunity to try some regional dishes, perhaps at la Ferme, an excellent restaurant in the village, a lunch time target of skiers from all over the Paradiski area.
Traditional Style Built for 2012/13 Season
Chalet Père Marie has been built for us over the last two years and we have used the knowledge gleaned from our other chalets to create what we think is a perfect luxury chalet. Extensive use has been made of timber, both old and new, in all rooms. Chalet Père Marie has all the character of a one hundred year old chalet, but is fitted out with all the modern conveniences that today’s standards require.
Dedicated Chalet Ski/Board Host – Free Day Skiing in Tignes / Val d’Isère
On five days each week, our ski host will show you around the mountain (minimum standard - you ski blues comfortably, and reds without fear, if not elegantly). On one of these days, weather permitting, we will transfer you free of charge, with your ski host, to Tignes/Val d’Isère to ski for the day. The lift pass for one day in Tignes/Val d’Isère is free with a 6 day or more Paradiski whole area pass.
Snowsure
Les Arcs has an excellent record for snow and, as our slopes are North facing and have snow making equipment, there are rarely problems due to lack of snow. If there is ever a time when the links into the main system are not operating, we will transfer you, without cost, to the nearest lifts.
Weekly Picnic
From mid-season onwards, weather permitting, the chalet chefs put together a special picnic. This is a grand affair, held on the mountain at a pre-arranged spot, where all our guests, both those with the ski hosts and those on their own, meet up. Food consists of quiche, pizza, pasta dishes, soup, sandwiches, crisps, chocolate bars, washed down with beer, vin chaud or soft drinks. This is great socially and fantastic value for money! (Conditions permitting)
Fantastic Staff
We take great care when choosing our staff, and many return year after year. Whilst they are all dedicated to working hard to provide you with a great holiday, they are also out here for the mountains. They are good company in the chalet and you may find yourself skiing/boarding with them or enjoying a drink or two with them in the local bars.

Points to note
Everyone enjoys a few drinks more than normal on a ski holiday and our staff will provide you with plenty of wine during dinner. However, we do not at any time tolerate loutish behaviour or drunkenness that disturbs or upsets our other guests, our staff or our neighbours.
During your stay, our chalet staff will look after you to the best of their abilities. It must be remembered that they are not full time professional staff, so please do not expect levels of service to reach that of luxury hotels.
