Group Ski Holidays in Les Arcs
As part of the enormous ‘Paradiski’ area, Les Arcs has got everything a skier needs. Linked with neighbouring resort La Plagne, a group ski holiday to Les Arcs offers access to a full 425km of pisted runs and a whole host of off-piste terrain for the more expert skiers on top of that.
Les Arcs itself is comprised of 4 different villages, each named by the height upon the mountain they sit. As such there is Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. Each village has its own feel, character and facilities meaning ski holidays in Les Arcs offer plenty of opportunity to explore off the slopes as well as on.
With so much pisted terrain to explore between the two resorts, Les Arcs is a perfect destination for a family ski holiday, or mixed ability group ski holiday as there are pistes to suit all abilities. If the group includes an expert skier (or more than one), not only is there the off-piste terrain to keep them happy, but there is the famous ‘Flying K’ Olympic high speed run to have a go at. The current speed records on this run are 251.4km/h for men and 242.59km/h for women. Serious skiers could spend their entire ski holidays trying to beat these records.
Snowboarders are equally well catered for at Les Arcs, and those looking for a little snowboarding on their ski holiday will find themselves amply looked after by the Apocalypse Park just above Arc 1600 and a border cross park called ‘Boarder Gliss’ that features tables, pyramids and diverse humps and bumps.
Les Arcs is one of the top destinations for France ski holidays and justifiably so. As a resort it is extremely well equipped and anyone embarking on a group ski holiday or family ski holiday will be sure to have a fantastic ski holiday.
